Mars Creek restoration works: simply stunning
Check out the video showing a rain event at the inlet – flow splitting!
The creek restoration works on Mars Creek at Macquarie University are looking absolutely stunning as the vegetation grows. An avid shutterbug captured the inlet on video during a rain event with flows being split in three directions as per the design intent. Check it out!
The works follow a long sequence of creek master planning, design and construction with Storm working with an inter-disciplinary team including: Macquartie University, Spackman Mossop Michaels and Total Earth Care.
The attention to detail in creating habitat diversity within the stream in unparallelled.
The project is the subject of an award submission to Stormwater NSW for their annual Awards for Excellence in the category of Integrated Stormwater Planning. The Award will be conferred at the Stormwater NSW Conference on September 17th 2013.
