Storm’s Industry Leadership on Show at Stormwater 2012

October 2012

In a packed program, Storm Consulting as Gold Sponsors will feature paper presenters in the Awards for Excellence and as technical tour project hosts at the Stormwater Industry Associations 2nd National Conference in Melbourne, 15-19 October.

Storm is the Gold Sponsors of the Conference Dinner and Awards of Excellence Ceremony.  Storm will feature in two award categories.

Mal Brown of Storm will present a paper in the stream of stormwater asset management.  This is based on the work he has led with Centennial Parklands to rehabilitate the Centennial Park Ponds in Eastern Sydney.  Don’t miss the presentation as it is a tremendous story.

Rod Wiese of Storm will present a paper on the Storm Pesticide Model.  This is a model used to predict and manage pesticide applications while protecting drinking water and aquatic ecosystems.  Come and see this world – first model in action.

Rod will also co-present a paper featuring WSUD in Tasmania.  His co-author and presenter is John Chrispjin who worked until recently for the Derwent Estuary Program in Hobart.

Being the President of Stormwater Victoria, Rod will also have various official duties during the conference.  “It’s certainly a busy and exciting time we have committed to at Stormwater 2012.”

Rod urges all disciplines to register for Stormwater 2012 to explore and contribute to important themes in contemporary stormwater management and water in urban environments that are important to future liveability issues.
